We're always asking ourselves (or others) how much water we should be drinking everyday. There are a number of determining factors and we've provided five tips below to help guide you on your hydration journey
1.
While the general recommendation will vary depending on your individual circumstances, such as age, weight and general physical activity, a good baseline to target is 8 eight standard glasses of water a day.
2.
Your surrounding environment and physical exertion will be one of the most important determining factors. In a dry, humid or hot climate? You better drink up. Double that if you're on a hike or engaging in physical activities that your body may not normally be used to.
3.
Water intake doesn’t have to come solely from plain water. Fruits and vegetables with high water content, such as watermelon, cucumber, and oranges, can contribute to your hydration needs. Herbal teas and clear soups can also be hydrating alternatives.
4.
To ensure you're getting enough water throughout the day, consider carrying an Easy Clean Bottle with you. Consuming and refilling a 1.1L bottle should be plenty enough liquid to keep you going throughout the day
5.
Most importantly, however, is to listen to your body. If you're engaging in physical exercise then its important to continue consuming plenty of liquids. Your body will let you know!
